The end of 2018 was an experience, that’s for sure! There’s a lot to unpack from last might but lets get to the numbers and then I’ll share what all went into SmutGeek the last 31 days.
I didn’t do any “vanilla” sales this month so this is just from Smut. I admit, a number of my sales came from me posting on my birthday asking for people to buy my books that day because it was a special day.
Place holder – I joined a handful of affiliate sites over this past month and hope to see some benefits from the connections soon.
December in Review
What a wild month. Holidays are always a mixed bag of stress and enjoyment for me and December not only had Yule, Christmas and New Years but also my birthday.
I finally got my logo!
Thanks to the amazing artist Maggie Derrick! It was an ordeal with the original artist I worked with and am so glad I finally connected with someone who was happy to draw a cute fat mascot for my logo.
What I’m trying out:
In the past I have been a research addict and running a freelance/blog biz was one of those things I obsessively researched. Sadly, I didn’t always implement things I learned from that research. I’m determined not to do that this go around.
I am still doing research and the following resources have been my guides in December:
- The Smutlancer site by Kayla Lords
- How to Gain 100,000 Twitter Followers by M. LeMont
- 30 Day Book Marketing Challenge by Rachel Thompson
What I will do different:
I just got signed up for some affiliate programs so that will change a few things, especially next holiday season when my gift guides will contain some affiliate links to help me and the site out.
